Gowen & Williams narrowly edged out of bronze medal

Heartbreak for our Welsh duo, Lauren Gowen and Amy Williams, who were narrowly edged out in the bronze medal match.

Competing in their first Commonwealth Games, they faced the experienced Irish pairing of Chloe Wilson and Shauna O’Neill in a hard-fought contest. Congratulations to all the medallists in the Women’s Pairs.

Keep your heads held high, girls. Reaching the final day of competition was an outstanding achievement, and you’ve done Wales proud.
