As President, I would like to extend my sincere thanks for the invitation to this year’s Patron Day, held last Monday.
I thoroughly enjoyed the occasion and was delighted to meet both familiar and new faces from across the Principality. The weather was excellent, and the match was played in a highly enjoyable and sporting spirit throughout.
My thanks go to Llandrindod Wells Bowls Club and its members for their warm welcome and for providing such excellent facilities. I would also like to thank the staff at the Commodore Hotel for their hospitality, refreshments, and superb buffet.
Special thanks are due to Kath Evans and Heulwen Morgan for organising the event, and to Cathy Clarke for her support on the day.
I very much hope this event continues for many years to come, and I look forward to attending again next year.
Finally, I am pleased to confirm that the donation collected on the day will be presented to my chosen charity, Velindre Cancer Centre.
