Live Streaming & Photography Information
In 2026 Welsh Lawn Bowls is trialing the introduction of Live Streaming at selected affiliated matches and the national finals in Llandrindod Wells.
Notices are placed at the entrance and areas where live streaming is expected to take place around the premises. No live streaming will take place in-doors and will be focused outside. Welsh Lawn Bowls respects peoples rights and streaming and photography will take places in accordance with our Live Streaming & Photography Policy.
Where will you publish my photos?
Photos will be published on our website, social media and may be used for publications with media outlets.
I don't want my photo taken or be on live stream
We respect that some members may prefer not to be photographed or included in live streaming.
W occasionally record photography and video to promote lawn bowls, celebrate achievements, and support participation in the sport. This is done under our lawful basis of legitimate interests, in line with UK data protection law.
If you would prefer not to appear in photographs or live broadcasts:
Please notify the webmaster in writing.
We will record your preference.
We will take reasonable steps to avoid capturing you in close-up or identifiable footage.
Please note:
During competitions and events, wide-angle or general atmosphere shots may include individuals incidentally.
It may not always be possible to guarantee complete exclusion from background footage.
Official team photographs or competition coverage may form part of the sporting record.
If you believe your image has been used inappropriately, you may request its removal where feasible, and we will review this promptly.
We can do this under Article 6(1)(f) of UK GDPR – Processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data, in particular where the data subject is a child.
Who conducts live streaming for Welsh Lawn Bowls
Welsh Lawn Bowls live streaming and photography will be conducted by officials or authorised persons who have been approved.
